We spent the afternoon with Paul and Bobbie at UCLA. For a year, we tried to coordinate our own little walking tour of the campus, but for one reason or another, it didn’t work out. It was gorgeous and coupled with the wonderful company, it was a perfect day!

We had the chance to spend some time with two very sweet kids this weekend. Joe and Monique’s daughter, Brenna, turned 3 last week. They had a big party for her on Sunday. She and her little girlfriends dressed in princess costumes and ran everywhere! They had a bounce house for them, which was so cute. In true Popp fashion, they cooked up a storm and had over 30 guests in their house. I seriously don’t know how they do it!

We went right from the party to Disneyland and spent some time with David, Steven and Adam. Adam will be 4 in May and is so much fun! He loves to ride so we went on Big Thunder, the Matterhorn, the train and pirates. We also got to see the fireworks, which was amazing – we’ve never been that close before. The park was not that full. ! I’m always so glad they make time for us. They even brought me a little birthday gift. It was funny because they handed it to me and Adam said “Open up your scarf”. It was sweet!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. We had an extra nice New Year’s Eve last night. We cooked a bunch of appetizers and Tim made ice cream. We got one of those ice cream makers for Christmas and it worked great! The consistency was amazing!

We watched the New York Philharmonic perform a salute to Tchaikovsky. They played the entire second act of the Nutcracker. We ate, drank champagne and watched different things until about 2:30. It was a great way to end one year and start the next.
